Steve Swanson

Virginia Women's Soccer coach, Steve Swanson completed his seventh season in Charlottesville by guiding the Cavaliers to the NCAA Sweet 16, and a Top 20 National ranking. Steve is also the former Head Coach for the U16 & U18 US Women's National Teams. Prior to Virginia, Swanson made noteworthy stops at Stanford and Dartmouth. In four years at Stanford, he guided the Cardinal women to two Pac-10 titles, three NCAA Tournament appearances and a #7 national ranking in 1999. In addition, he was named the 1999 Pac-10 Coach of the Year. At Dartmouth, Swanson brought the program to national prominence with two Ivy League titles, two NCAA Tournament appearances and Top-20 rankings in 1993, '94, and '95. Swanson played collegiate soccer at Michigan State University and played professionally in both indoor and outdoor leagues in the U.S. and Canada.

Ron Raab

Ron Raab enters his fourth season at Virginia, although Raab was also an assistant at UVA from 1997-2000, and came back to Virginia after spending three seasons as the Head Coach at the University of Evansville. He began his coaching career at his alma mater, William and Mary and has also coached at Princeton University and the University of Maryland. Raab currently holds a USSF "A" license and was a member of the Region II ODP staff. After completing his college playing career at William and Mary he played for the Washington Mustangs of the U.S.I.S.L. league.

Cindy Bennett

Cindy Bennett enters her first season with the Virginia women's soccer program in 2007. Prior to arriving in Charlottesville, Bennett served as an assistant coach at her alma mater, Stony Brook in 2006. Bennett was a four-year letter winner in goal at Stony Brook University from 2002-06. Bennett was the America East Conference Rookie of the Year and in 2004 was the America East Goalkeeper of the Year, earning first-team all-conference honors. Bennett has also played for the New York Magic, the Hampton Roads Piranhas, and the Long Island Lady Riders in the W-League. In 2004, she was part of the United States U-21 National Team camp. She is also currently a member of the US Region I ODP Staff. Bennett earned her B.S. in Sociology and Women's Studies from Stony Brook in 2006.
